As we discuss the Best Hiring Process, one of the keys to its success is the Advanced Preparation. This was what was missing in our first disastrous hires in our orthodontic practice. But once we started doing this preparation, it turned into a streamlined process. So before you blindly hire someone just to get “extra help”, take a look at these Advanced Preparation steps.
This Advanced Preparation involved 5 steps, which are best done in this order:
- List the specific roles this person will need to fulfill.
- What qualities do these roles require?
- Look at the DISC Styles Chart. Which Style or Styles naturally have these qualities?
- Which of the DISC Styles needs to be the strongest?
- Chart a “Best Style Combination” on a DISC Graph for the job needed.
