So far in this “Motivation Series”, we’ve looked at the High D-Style (in charge) people, the High I-Style (fun-loving) folks and the people-loving High S-Style. But these are all very different from the systems and details-loving High C-Style, our focus for today.
These are the individuals in your family, on your team, or your committee who are usually “task focused” – intent on using procedures and systems, and especially caring about the details necessary to accomplish their goals.
As a quick review, the High C-Style is:
- Conscientious
- Likes procedures
- Focuses on tasks and details
- Often doesn’t mind working alone
- Precise
- Systematic
- Usually has a slower “motor” – walks slower, thinks and talks slower
Because of these strengths, the High C-Style person is best motivated by:
- Structure
- Accuracy
- Security
- Proven systems
