A question – what difference does Christmas make to you? It’s important to think about…
As I write this, Christmas is just 3 days away, I am battling a bad cold, and grateful that the COVID tests I’ve taken every couple days have been negative. But it has been a month of joy – especially singing in our church’s 4 Christmas concerts, then traveling to NY to hear our granddaughters sing in their choir concerts. I can’t get enough of Christmas music! I soak it into my soul.
In my family, we celebrate Christmas all month long. In fact, in our Denver neighborhood, we have an “assumed agreement” that we leave our Christmas lights up and turned on through the end of the National Western Stock Show that runs from January 3rd to 23rd.
That is a LOT of celebrating – as is fitting for the most important event in human history – as Jesus left His high station in Heaven and humbled Himself to be born as a baby on earth – to bring light, truth and love to our dark world. Joy to the World indeed!!
This is the bedrock foundation in my life. My constant goal is for it to:
- Inform everything I do
- Influence my choices and decisions
- Inspire my efforts and service
One way this is lived out in my life has been to write these blogposts once a week on some aspect of the DISC System and its application in professional practices or its usefulness for individuals and families. My goal is to provide enough information to make a difference in your office and your life; to share what I have found to be successful so you can put your new-found learning into your personal and professional practice immediately. I hope they have been insightful and helpful.
There are several options on what to focus on in the New Year:
- How each DISC Style needs to be renewed
- Time management from each DISC Styles’ perspective
- Guidelines for those looking for the right job for their DISC Style
- Parent/child relationships based on their DISC Styles
I’d be very interested in any of your thoughts or interests, or any other requests or comments you might have. Please feel free to share in the comment section below.
Wishing you each a very Merry Christmas and excellent year ahead in 2024.
