So far in this Motivation Series, we’ve looked at the High D-Style (in charge) people and the High I-Style (fun-loving) folks. Today, I’m focused on the people-loving High S-Style.
These are the individuals in your family, on your team, or your committee who are usually “outward focused” – caring deeply about the people around them, the ones they live with, work with and serve with.
As a quick review, the High S-Style’s tendencies are:
- Dependable
- Steady
- Persistent
- Extremely patient
- Cooperative – a great Team Player
- Focuses on people
- Often has a slower “motor” – walks slower, talks slower, thinks slower
To best motivate this High S-Style, they prefer:
- Stability
- Consensus
- Predictability
- Consistent pace
- Ways their efforts will benefit people
