Just Let Me Add an Element of Fun and I’m Motivated!

This year, we’ve gone over how to use the DISC System to place staff in their best roles in the office. Then we lined out a great Hiring Process to use to fill in the gaps.

Next, we focused on how to best communicate with each DISC Style and how not to communicate with them. Last week, we started a series on how each DISC Style prefers to be motivated. If you missed the description for the High D-Style person last week, just click here.

Today, we’ll explain how a High I-Style person likes to be motivated.

But first, as a reminder, the High I-Style person tends to:

  • Be fun-loving, a “party looking for a place to happen”
  • Focus on people more than on tasks
  • Have a “faster speed motor”
  • Be more outgoing – an extrovert
  • Be very persuasive
  • Have a positive attitude – usually sees the jar half full
  • Have lots of enthusiasm

To best motivate this High I-Style, they prefer to be given:

  • A Teamwork approach
  • A Positive environment
  • An element of Fun to a task
  • Recognition for their efforts
  • Opportunities to grow and excel
  • A focus on people and working with them
